Matt's Hike Summary:
The Old Mt. Si trail used to be one of the best places to go when
conditions were muddy everywhere. The tail has few flat spots, holds
little water, and stays pretty free of mud-slog. That changed with the
"new little Si trail" which proceeds for about a half mile across flat,
and now, completely muddy terrain. The rest of the hike was pretty
nice, and we stayed mostly dry. The haystack was windy, cold and wet, a
delightful combination especially since the wet made for pretty slow
going on the descent. Dan and I are both playing with digi-cameras now
so there should be even more waste of Bandwidth on www.tnab.net -
whenever one of us gets the chance to update something.
This Week!!
when I suggested Mailbox everyone looked a bit anxious, so we'll skip
that this week and head out to Dirty Harry's Peak Instead
