Matt's Hike Summary:

Great start to the 2003 TNAB season last night! Got a good turnout despite a number of last minute cancellations. We drove through stiff rain heading out towards Fall City, with a beautiful rainbow always just ahead of the car, but we passed through the rain and the hike was dry. Good thing that - I forgot my jacket. We ended up parking at the old lot by the bridge and walking the short, but heavy-traffic 1/4 mile to the new trailhead. The new trail is rather muddy until it reaches the gravel bed of the old trail so good boots are recommended. Nice evening on the summit with a little bit of a sunset, and a lot of champagne and strawberries!! Nice to be back in the hills on Thursday! Welcome to Sherry Scherer, and welcome back to Don, Linda, Dan, Joan and Gretchen next week Tiger! M< P.S. yes, they did lock the gates on the new lot before we got down, so parking in the old lot was necessary.
